Pasini San Giovanni presents its “Vertical Harvest” installation at Profumi di Mosto 2021

The Pasini San Giovanni estate at Raffa di Puegnago del Garda has inaugurated its “Vendemmia Verticale” installation at the Profumi di Mosto event on Sunday 10th October 2021.

At this new edition of the food and wine itineraries, Pasini San Giovanni is offering three wines from the Valtènesi area for tasting: two rosés and a red wine, accompanied by a sample of delicious food from the “Il Rivale” restaurant.

This fourth installation again features the theme of materials or manufactured products presented to the public as a sort of ready-made work of art, clearly belonging to the world of wine production, exhibited in the courtyard of the winery that daily welcomes customers, suppliers and friends.

Our Vertical Harvest aims to highlight the fact that we pick our grapes by hand, a method that expresses the craftsmanship and care which Pasini San Giovanni dedicates to the selection of grapes during the harvest, considered essential to obtain the full expressive potential of the company’s wines.

Vertical Harvest is composed of red, washable, food-quality plastic crates, used for manual harvesting, on display on the walls of the company’s courtyard.

Each of these 470 crates symbolically brings 15 kg of grapes to the winery: a total of about 7,000 kg, the harvest in a good year of a hectare of vineyard made up of 4,200 vines.

Every year at Pasini San Giovanni about 20,000 crates are filled with grapes and then emptied, so that the fruit from the company’s vineyards can be vinified.

The installation will remain for about a year in the Pasini San Giovanni courtyard and can be visited free of charge. After celebrating our care for the vineyards, tour oenological expertise and the uniqueness of our region, we focus on the fundamental role of harvesting by hand.
