Valtènesi

The hills that face Lake Garda on the west side are the heart of Valtènesi, a land cultivated since prehistoric times and that in the last five hundred years has preserved, a unique case in Italy, the heritage of the native red Groppello vine, a wine rarity that here has found its ideal habitat. The loose and permeable texture of its morainic origin soils, the proximity of the huge lake that offers the Alps’ slopes an original microclimate and a fortunate exposure that lights up the hills with the morning sun make Valtènesi a unique place that gives life to elegant. fine, fragrant and harmonious wines, agile in body but firm in character, warm and light at the same time.

The northernmost territory of Italy, where vines and olives get mixed up with cedars, capers, palms and lemons, gives rise to a sort of Mediterranean “enclave” in the middle of the alpine reliefs: this balance and this integrity are reflected in Valtènesi Chiaretto and Valtènesi wines, one rosé and the other red, the enological vocations of Valtènesi.

Lugana

This ancient land, rich in history and precious architecture, since the first centuries AD has hosted on its clay soil the local white grape Turbiana, which gives life to the Lugana white wine. The strength of the clay and the unique microclimate created by the proximity of the lake at the foot of the Alps, combined with the purebred DNA of this native grape, make Lugana a white wine with a rare balance, fresh, savory, friendly and deep at the same time.

So immediate in its youth, Lugana is much more austere and mineral if tasted after a long period of aging. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to hide its more complex character, thanks to the balance between softness, strength and acidity.
